This group believes in the propagation of evidence-based oncology and is concerned about the quality of life issues of cancer patients.
Being in the field of cancer for nearly 10 years and having seen the plight of rural patients who have to leave the comforts of their home and society and travel to cities for investigations and treatments made us wonder why some people face such unfair and adverse situations. Apart from being a psychological, social and financial burden, cancer burdens the patients living in rural areas additionally, who have to travel sometimes up to 1000 km to receive basic diagnosis and treatment. Optimus Oncology (Optimus meaning “very good or best”) is the baby born out of this thought. This startup aims to cater to cancer patients of rural India wherein they receive the current modern standards of care in diagnosis and treatment.
